How to find the UDID (Unique Device Identifier) for your iPhone or iPad:
Every iPhone and iPad has a unique identifier number associated with it, known as a UDID (Unique Device Identifier). The UDID is a 40-digit sequence of letters and numbers that looks like this: 0e55cc56b15axcf007290cxx08ac6752181fx54c.
For a beta app, Apple requires that the developer authorize each device which the beta application will be installed on.
Locating your UDID is a quick and simple process using iTunes:
-
Open iTunes on your Mac or PC only. This will not work on your iPhone or iPad.
-
Connect your iPhone or iPad to the computer via USB cable.
-
Click on the name of your device under the devices list in iTunes.
-
Click on the Summary tab.
-
Then click on the text that says Serial Number. It should change to say Identifier (UDID) and your UDID should be displayed.
- Right click on the UDID and select Copy.
- Your UDID is now copied to the clipboard.
-
Paste it into an email and send it to cs@dwellar.com.
